Silent Auction – Support Student Members
What can you bring to the silent auction?? To be held in Butte to support student activities in ASRS. Consider donating an item to the silent auction held in conjunction with the annual meeting this year in Butte, Montana. For those of you that wished you had donated something to the Knoxville Silent Auction, now is the time to start thinking about Butte.
Not sure what to donate? Here are some ideas that travel well:
- Handmade items
- Small framed artwork or photographs
- Something unique from where you live
- A unique item from previous annual meetings
- Photos signed by previous ASRS presidents, award winners or members
- Portable technology for the reclamation professional
- High vis field gear or bad weather clothing
- Northern Rocky Mountain hardwood products
- Gift cards to national chains (such as Amazon / Wal-mart / Dominos for hungry students or faculty)
- Trips to local or far away locations where people can vacation to
- Books that apply to both near and far from the meeting location
Reaching out to local stores in your community can be a great option and a way to help your local economy. Nostalgic used items are sometimes fun as long as they are clean and in relatively good shape. To donate items, please reach out to Seth Cude or Brenda Schladweiler. All silent auction donations can be dropped at the registration desk in Butte.
